  • Exporting products to Ebay
  • Updating listings due to change of price of QTY

Key components of Salestio

  • Selling List — Contains a list of products connected to Ebay by Salestio. Only items from this list could be updated (also automatically) by Salestio
  • Global Profile —Configuration related to QTY and Price. It’s shared actors Ebay & amazon integration
  • Ebay Profile — Special settings related explicitly to Ebay integration, like listing duration, shipping details
  • Creation Profile — required for creating new Ebay listings with a Salestio. Have rules on how Shopify product details will be converted to Ebay Marketplace details.

In the video, we mostly focus on Creation Profile, that required to create new ebay listings.

Creation Profile

All “Creation Profiles”, are located under Profiles > Creation profiles.
Creation profiles contain data connected to a single Ebay Marketplace, that’s why it’s choice first what marketplace you would like to use for it.

Another important part, it’s Mapping, it’s required to have at least one.
Mapping in terms of “Creation Profile”, it’s a connection between a set of Shopify products and the corresponding Ebay category.

Set of PrestaShop products, could be split by collections, or by product types.
We create a mapping with a set as “Product Type: T-Shirt” and one more condition: “Product collection”: “Hiking”.
Depending on the selection option “Products must match”, the result of the connection could be different.
If you choose “all conditions”, then only products that match all defined conditions (in our case have a product Type: T-Shirt and product collection “Hiking”), will apply to this mapping.
If we select “any condition”, then it will match the product with the type “T-Shirt” OR any products from the collection “Hiking”.
When we define the condition, we can choose a corresponding Category. For our product we need Clothes, Shoes & Accessories, then Women, then “Women’s Clothing”, and “Tops & Shirts”.
Immediately after you choose the leaf category, Salestio will download the “Item Specifics” required by Ebay for this category.
Item Specifics — it’s additional product details that enhance listing details and help the buyer identify all required data for listing.
For Clothes, we need to provide “Item Condition”, “Brand”, “Size”, “Type”, “Colour”, “Sleeve Length” and “Department”.

When all mapping details are provided, we can save Creation profile details but click on the “Create Profile” button.

Ebay Profile page

Ebay profiles in Salestio Shopify integration are responsible to define Ebay specifics data for a product located in the Selling List. It’s also should be created per marketplace. So first we choose a UK marketplace, Fixed Price listing, and GTC duration.

We need to activate “Product creation mode”, because we would like to create new ebay listings, and choose the newly created Creation Profile.

Because our products don’t have EAN codes, we need to activate also option “Product Identify exemption”.

For images of ebay listings, we select to provide 3 images and use Gallery.

Please notice, depending on your marketplace, it’s also required to provide extra shipping details, which could be done under the “Additional Shipping Details” section.

After you set all details for your Ebay Profile, please click on the Save button.

Selling List

Now let’s create a new Selling List and export products to Ebay.

Navigate to the Selling List section and click on the button “Add Selling List”.

On the new page, we need to also select the first Ebay account, choose marketplace, and pick Selling List mode.

Product mode allows you to choose individual products you would like to export, with a Collection mode, you can choose collections products from which will be added to this Selling List.

We will process with Collection mode.

If you have multi-language enabled in your Shopify store, you can also select a language that could be used for Ebay listings. Data for it will be fetched from the Shopify store.

Then we need to select Global Profile, just created Ebay Selling Profile and Ebay Description Template.

Please notice that it’s required also to select Business Policy. If you don’t have Business Policies yet, please navigate to Ebay and add them to your account. It’s required to have a Payment, Shipping, and Return Policy.

As soon as you finish with provide details for the new Selling List, click on “Add Selling List”. For Selling List with Collection mode, Salestio will need a couple of minutes before it fetches all products.

When this operation is finished, you will see your listings in the state “Not Listed”.

Export Shopify products to Ebay Marketplace

After we created a new Selling List, we can see all products from selected collections.

To export products to Ebay Marketplace, please choose products and then click on the button “Send to Ebay”. The status for the product inside Selling List changed to “Pending Listing”.

If we return to this page in 3-5 minutes or refresh the page, we can see the updated status for listings.

For items that get listed on Ebay, you can find also the link “View on Ebay”, click on this link allows us to see this listing on the Ebay marketplace.

For listed items, Salestio will continue to maintain QTY and price as it is present on the Shopify store.

So any qty or price change in the Shopify store will lead to an update of the corresponding Ebay listing. In this way, you can maintain proper stock on all sales channels.

And if you create a Selling List with collection mode, all new products from selected collections will also be automatically exported to Ebay Marketplace. So Salestio not only synchronizes details but makes sure that your new products are sold also on Ebay.

What next?

In the next video, we will summarise what we learn from all videos and how order details appear on Printify if you sold on one of your marketplaces.
