There comes a point when a store needs to reach a wider audience. Making your brand more visible is easier when your products are available on more platforms. Today we introduce the new Etsy integration for WooCommerce. Etsy sync is now also available with Salestio for BigCommerce and Shopware.

In this article, we outline the main features of the integration. We will explain order importing, creation of Etsy listings, and syncing quantity along with prices.

You can access the Etsy Dashboard from the top bar in your Salestio app.

Etsy Dashboard in Salestio

The Dashboard is a quick overview of the status of your Etsy integration.

Here you can find the latest Etsy Orders, Logs, User Status (including the ability to change the subscription), and quick links to the Help Center. You can also check the overview of the sync status on all items.

Etsy Account

Before setting up the application, make sure to connect your Etsy account to Salestio. Navigate to Salestio > Etsy > Accounts > Add Account. Pick yourself a name and click “Add Account”:

You will be redirected to etsy.com to grant access to the application. Grant access, and a new account will be added. Salestio supports multiple Etsy accounts, and you can review all of them in Salestio > Etsy > Accounts.

Create new Etsy listings

Salestio can create listings on Etsy based on the items found in WooCommerce. The app can create and update listings in bulk after a few configuration steps: making a Creation Profile and putting together a Selling List.

Configure the Creation Profile

To set it up, start with configuring a Creation Profile. This profile is necessary for the app to know which Etsy category and specifics to use for each item.

Navigate to Salestio > Etsy > Profiles > Creation profiles and click “Add Creation Profile”.

Pick a name for your profile (Wood toys, T-shirts, etc.) Select the product specifics from the drop-downs and add some tags.

Scroll down to add the mapping. In the Condition section, select a WooCommerce category or product type. In the Category section below, select the Etsy category where the items should be listed. In our case, items from the Toy category in the store will be listed on Etsy as “Toys & Games > Toys > Wind-Up Toys”:

Click “Add new mapping” and then save the Creation Profile. You can also add multiple mappings to the same profile if multiple categories are listed.

Create a Selling List

Selling Lists organize your products into groups of items to connect with Etsy. To create one, navigate to Salestio > Etsy > Selling Lists and click Add Selling List.

Below are the key settings here:

  • Name of the selling list: pick one that you like.
  • Etsy account: make sure to select the one that will own the items on Etsy.
  • Mode: populate the list manually in Product mode or add a whole category in bulk.
  • Global Selling Profile: pick Default to keep the Etsy items close to the original. Check out this article and learn to customize how prices and quantities are synced.
  • Etsy Shipping Profile: All of the shipping profiles on your Etsy account will be visible here. If you do not have any shipping profiles yet, start by adding one on etsy.com
  • Allow Product creation: make sure to enable it to create new Etsy listings. Select the Creation Profile from before.

After checking all the settings, click “Add Selling List” at the top.

Add items and send them to the marketplace

If you selected Collection Mode, wait a couple minutes until Salestio populates the Selling List. For Product Mode, click Add Items and select the desired ones.

After all of the items are added, select them in the list and click “Send to Etsy”.

Connect to your Etsy shop

If you have been selling on Etsy for some time and want to link the existing Etsy listings with WooCommerce, Salestio can help. It is possible to download your Etsy inventory and connect the items. From there, Salestio will keep updating stock and prices if they change in WooCommerce.

To connect the items, add them to a Selling List first (no need to send them yet). Navigate to Salestio > Etsy > Inventory. Click “Download inventories” to get the list of items and give the app a few minutes.

Salestio uses product SKUs to identify the items. To successfully connect the items, make sure that SKUs match across the platforms. For items that do not have a matching SKU, click on “Change Product” and select your WooCommerce item that corresponds to the downloaded listing.

When the items are ready, click “Sync inventories with selling products”. In a few minutes, the statuses in the Selling List should change to “Linked”.

You can now select the items again and click “Update QTY & Price” under “More actions” to make sure that everything is up-to-date.

Sync orders

When your account is added to Salestio, the app starts pulling the most recent orders from Etsy to WooCommerce.

All Etsy orders appear under the Orders tab first. Then, they can be imported into the store. Salestio automatically imports the orders where the SKU of an Etsy product is the same as the SKU of a corresponding WooCommerce product. If Salestio cannot find the corresponding SKU in WooCommerce, the order will not be created in the store. At the same time, you can still locate it under Salestio Orders.

After the order is imported into your store, you can fulfill it as any other WooCommerce one. When you mark the order as fulfilled, Salestio will pick up the changes and upload them to Etsy automatically.

Try Etsy with Salestio

The Etsy integration is available for all Salestio users. If you are new to the app, you can start for free and have a 30-day trial: Sign Up. The app is also available on BigCommerce Apps and Shopware Store.
