Adding a new sales channel to e-commerce business is a good opportunity for growth. It is an excellent way to meet new customers where they spent their time most.
Salestio Team tries to keep up with our users’ intentions and business needs. It takes some time and effort for sellers to set up and grow a new sales channel. Same way, it takes some time to develop a new integration to support this channel. Finally, we are ready to introduce a new Shopify integration — Etsy.
In this article, we will show you how to use Etsy integration and the main features supported for now. At the moment, you can get Etsy orders imported to Shopify. The functionality to publish new Etsy listings from Shopify products and transfer fulfillment status from Shopify to Etsy is under development.
Right after you add Salestio to Shopify apps, you will be advised to select your default integration. You can select “Etsy” right from this page. Every time you open Salestio, it will open the Etsy Dashboard. Keep in mind that this option can be changed later in Salestio Settings.
If you have already been using Salestio, you can switch to Etsy from the app toggle in the top right corner of the app.
Currently, you can see a small β character in the switcher. It indicates that this part is in beta mode at the moment.
The first page you see in Salestio is Dashboard, and the Etsy part is no exception. Here you can find a short introduction of the supported features as well as what is going to be implemented next. It also includes a quick link to connect your Etsy account to Salestio.
The Dashboard is a quick overview of the status of your Shopify Etsy integration.
Here you can find the latest Etsy Orders, Logs, User’s Status (including the ability to change the subscription), and quick links to Help Center.
The connection between Shopify and Etsy is done by your Etsy account. You can start using the app by adding your account to Salestio.
Please follow the next steps to add your Etsy account to Salestio:
When your account is added to Salestio, Salestio starts pulling the most recent orders from Etsy to Shopify.
All Etsy orders appear under the Orders tab first. Then, they can be imported to Shopify. Salestio automatically imports the orders where the SKU of an Etsy product is the same that the SKU of a corresponding Shopify product. If Salestio cannot find the corresponding SKU in Shopify, the order will not be added to the Shopify Orders. At the same time, you can still locate it under Salestio Orders.
Here is what information you can find about Etsy orders in Salestio:
Salestio allows searching and filtering the imported Etsy orders. To locate the needed order, copy and paste the Etsy order ID and click the Filter button.
Another important option is to filter Etsy orders by their imported to Shopify statuses.
Sometimes Etsy orders are not getting imported to Shopify despite being imported to Salestio. It might happen for various reasons. For example, Shopify products are out of stock or the particular item from the order cannot be found in the Shopify store.
To do so, go to Salestio > Orders. Click the Import status filter, select “Not imported” and click Filter.
Not imported to Shopify order will be displayed. From there, you can go ahead and open orders to find more info on why they were not imported.
We hope that this article will help you get started with the Etsy channel for your Shopify products. Contact us at support@salest.io or use a contact form in our help center if you need any assistance with this.
You can find Salestio on the Shopify app store.
