eBay calls it parts compatibility; sellers call it fitment. Whichever format your category uses, Salestio builds the compatibility list from your store data and keeps it intact as prices and stock levels change.
Three ways to describe what your parts fit
By application (YMM)
Vehicle attributes
Describe the vehicle itself with name-value pairs, down to the Street name a motorcycle or car is actually known by. Sellers call this YMM, or Year / Make / Model fitment. It is the format eBay UK Motors uses for vehicle parts and accessories.

The MVL and the MML
The Master Vehicle List (MVL) is eBay's list of the cars its compatibility feature recognises. It carries the KType numbers used on eBay UK, Germany and Italy, and the ePIDs used on eBay Motors US.
Motorcycles and scooters sit in a separate file, the Master Motorcycle List (MML), which eBay publishes for its UK and German sites. Both files are free from Seller Centre behind a seller login, and both are per site, so take the one for the site you list on.

TecAlliance data
KType is TecAlliance's vehicle numbering, the same one the TecDoc catalogue uses. A TecDoc subscription already gives you KTypes, with no eBay file to download.
TecDoc supplies the numbers; the format written to the listing is still KType, so there is nothing extra to switch on in Salestio.

Distributor catalogues
Parts distributors often ship fitment alongside the product feed. KTypes, ePIDs and plain year, make and model rows all go straight into a product field in your store, mapped once.
OE codes are the exception. They identify the part, not the vehicle, so they have to be resolved to vehicles first, which is what TecAlliance does from a part's OE numbers. Salestio writes the compatibility you supply; it does not derive it from a part number.
How Salestio reads fitment out of your store
You do not have to re-key fitment into Salestio. Map it once in the Creation Profile and every listing picks it up from your product data.

- Values entered directly in Salestio when a product has no suitable store field.
A price or stock update will not wipe your fitment
Stock and price synchronisation sends only the fields that changed, so it leaves the compatibility list alone. That covers rows your team entered by hand on eBay and bulk-loaded lists running to tens of thousands of vehicles.
The list is rewritten only when you run a full product Revise from Salestio — the deliberate action that tells the listing to take your store data as the source of truth.
One direction, stated plainly:
compatibility flows from your store to eBay. Salestio does not read the compatibility already on your eBay listings back into your store, so treat your store or Salestio as the place that data is edited.
Switching to Salestio from Convermax, Maropost, PartsFinder or Marketplace Connect?
The compatibility already on your live eBay listings stays where it is; Salestio will not strip it. What does not happen on its own is a copy of that data landing in your store. Export the fitment from the tool you are leaving, or take it from your supplier feed, load it into a store field, and map that field once.

eBay Motors is a marketplace of its own, with its own Parts & Accessories categories. Select eBay Motors, not United States.

eBay Motors is listed on its own, separately from United States, because eBay runs it as a marketplace in its own right. Select eBay Motors and the Parts & Accessories categories appear. United States on its own is the general eBay US site, which carries no automotive categories.
Sellers on eBay UK, Germany and Italy have no separate entry to look for. Choose your usual marketplace and pick the automotive category when you build the listing.

Yes. Provide multiple values separated by commas and Salestio builds the compatibility list automatically. eBay caps how many vehicles a single listing can carry, and the ceiling depends on the category.
