What migration assistance covers

Included with any paid plan, with no migration fee. The boundaries below are worth reading before you plan the move.

We do this

  • Connecting your store and marketplace accounts
  • Linking your existing listings where the SKUs match, so they are not re-created
  • Setting up your existing catalogue to keep quantity and price sync running
  • A supervised first sync, checked before it goes wide
  • Running in parallel with your old tool so there is no downtime

You provide this

  • SKU mapping, if your store SKUs do not match the ones on your marketplace listings. We link on matching SKUs; where they differ we need the mapping from you, because only you know which product is which.
  • Your description template. Templates are not carried over automatically from your old tool, so you supply the HTML you want to use.
  • Access to your store and marketplace accounts, and someone on your side who can answer catalogue questions.

Quoted separately

  • Creation Profiles for publishing new listings. Keeping your current listings in sync is one job; setting up how new products are created on a marketplace is another. We can help with this too as a separately scoped, quoted project.
  • Rule and profile work on very large catalogues. For a typical catalogue this is part of the free assistance; at scale it becomes a real project and we will tell you before starting.
  • Authoring a catalogue of brand new listings from scratch
  • Ongoing day-to-day operations after you are live
  • Content work: photography, copywriting, translations

Audit

We look at what you have today, including listings, rules and quirks, and flag anything that will not carry across cleanly before you commit.

Install Salestio on your store, authorise your marketplace accounts, and rebuild your profiles, price templates and syncing rules.

Link existing listings

We match your live marketplace listings to your store products on SKU, so they keep their history, reviews and ranking instead of starting over. If your SKUs differ between the two, this is the point where we need your mapping file.

Parallel run

Salestio runs alongside your existing tool while you check that stock, prices and orders behave the way you expect.

Cutover

You switch the old tool off. Nothing goes dark in between, and the configuration stays documented in your own account.

Migration FAQ

Assistance with moving your existing listings onto Salestio is included with any paid plan, and there is no separate migration fee for it. Three things sit outside that: configuring Creation Profiles so you can publish new listings, rule and profile work on very large catalogues, and authoring a catalogue of brand new listings. Those are quoted, and we will say so before any work starts rather than after.
No. We link your live marketplace listings to your store products rather than publishing new ones, so they keep their history, reviews, ranking and item IDs.
Then we need a mapping from you. Linking works on matching SKUs; where they differ, only you can say which store product corresponds to which marketplace listing, so we ask for that as a file before we start. We cannot guess it, and guessing it wrongly is how catalogues get scrambled.
No, not automatically. Description templates do not carry across from another tool, so you provide the HTML template you want to use and we apply it in Salestio. If your old tool hosted the template itself, that content will need recreating.
Yes. We can help set up Creation Profiles as a separately scoped, quoted project. Migration gets your existing listings synced for quantity and price; deciding how new products are built and published on a marketplace, with category mapping and required attributes, needs its own implementation plan.
You should not. Salestio runs in parallel with your existing tool while you verify stock, prices and orders. You only switch the old tool off once you are satisfied.
For a straightforward catalogue on one or two marketplaces, days. Large multi-region catalogues, several seller accounts or unusual category setups take longer. The audit at the start is where we tell you which one you are.
That is a common starting point and it is workable. We can usually still discover and link your live marketplace listings directly from the marketplace, without needing anything from the old tool. The inkFrog guide walks through exactly this case.
