Salestio can help sellers who have been selling on Amazon for a while and need to connect their existing inventory with an e-commerce store. The app uses SKUs to identify the items in the store and the Seller Central inventory.
When SKUs match, no mappings are needed, so sellers can move on to connecting the items right away. You can check a more detailed guide for connecting Amazon inventory below: Connect Shopify to existing Amazon listings with Salestio
When the SKUs are different, you can configure a mapping table to tell Salestio which store item corresponds to a particular Amazon SKU. In this article, we will focus on the cases when SKUs between the two platforms are not the same, and how to work around this situation using SKU mappings.
Add an SKU mapping file and link items
An SKU mapping is a CSV file that contains store SKUs and their corresponding entries on Amazon. Below are the steps to create it and add it to Salestio:
Create a table with two columns: Store SKU and Amazon SKU. We recommend using a spreadsheet app for making a table. Add the store SKUs and Amazon SKUs to it and save the file in CSV format.
Example of a SKU mapping table
Get an updated inventory list from Amazon. Go to Salestio > Inventory tab and click “Download inventories” to start downloading the product list. Give the app a few minutes to receive all products. In the future, if inventory is downloaded again with the “Remove the existing list…” option enabled, the SKU mapping will have to be reuploaded.
Upload the SKU mapping file to Salestio. Go to Salestio > Settings and select the target Amazon account in the sidebar. Scroll down to the “SKU mapping file” section upload the CSV here.
Add the mapping file and click “Upload CSV” to apply the changes
Link the items. Go to Salestio > Inventory and click “Sync inventories with selling products”. This process will look for matches in the Amazon Seller account according to the mapping file. The resulting product entries can be found in the automatically created Selling List called “Migrated for *account_name* *marketplace*”. Items added manually to other Selling Lists will remain in them, and Salestio will change their status to “Linked”.
Run an initial Price & QTY Update to ensure that the items are synced from the start. Select the Selling List and click the “Update Price & QTY” action, and Salestio will send the store information to the Amazon listings.
Update products in batch from the “Selling Lists” tab in Salestio
Further price and quantity updates will happen automatically when a change is detected in the e-commerce store.
Verify how the products are linked
Salestio offers a way to check which Amazon items are linked or remain without a connection. Try the steps below to get a synchronization report and check item status:
Get an updated inventory list from Amazon. Go to Salestio > Inventory tab and click “Download inventories”. Give the app a few minutes to get the product list.
Click “Download report” to get the file with the link status of each item.
The file contains item details such as SKU, ASIN, and an indication if the item appears in any Salestio Selling Lists. Check the “Linked” column to see if the item is being synced by Salestio. “No” suggests checking this SKU in the Selling List for any errors.

In some cases, you might need to upload an updated SKU mapping and link new items. Follow the steps below to make the changes:
Download the current SKU mapping from Salestio. Go to Salestio > Settings and select the Amazon account in the sidebar. Scroll down to the “SKU mapping file” section and click “Download CSV”.
Make changes to the file to include new or remove unused SKUs.
Get an updated inventory list from Amazon. Go to Salestio > Inventory tab and click “Download inventories”.
Upload the updated file again on the Salestio settings page.
Relink the items. Go to Salestio > Inventory and click “Sync inventories with selling products”.
Run a Price & QTY Update. This will make sure that any new products are in sync.
