Salestio synchronizes the stock and quantity for each connected item automatically. The process happens in the background for each product that has a “Linked” status in the Selling List. In this article, we will focus on the situations when some store items are not linked and the way to find and connect them. The steps in this article apply to Amazon, eBay, and Etsy integrations.

Products are only synced when they have a “Linked” status in the Selling List, so some marketplace listings might not get updates in some cases. For example:

  • The product was added directly from the marketplace and not listed by Salestio.
  • The status for the item was reset in the Selling List.
  • The marketplace listing is duplicated.
  • The product remains in an error status after encountering an issue.

In the next section, we will show the steps to locate the listings that are not connected.

How to build a synchronization report in Salestio

Salestio offers a simple way to form a report of all marketplace items and their status. First of all, go to the Inventory tab in Salestio and click “Download inventories” to get the updated inventory list.

Keep in mind that each integration (Amazon/eBay/Etsy) has its own Inventory tab in Salestio.

The inventory is downloaded only from the selected marketplace accounts

Select the marketplace account and enable the checkbox to remove existing items from the list. This will ensure that only the current inventory appears in the report. Click “Download” and give the app a few minutes to compose the list of marketplace items.

After the marketplace items appear in the list, you can download the report file for a selected account using the button at the top:

Click “Download report” to get the file with the marketplace inventory

Analyze the report and fix the listings

The CSV file can be opened with a text editor. We suggest using a spreadsheet app for faster navigation.

The file contains multiple columns:

  • Title – the title of the item as seen on the marketplace.
  • ASIN/Listing ID – the marketplace ID to reference the item.
  • SKU – the SKU of the item on the marketplace.
  • Linked – The status of the connection in Salestio. “Yes” means that the item has the “Linked” status in one of the Selling Lists.
  • Selling List – which Selling List contains the item in Salestio. The “-” symbol means that the item is not added to any.
Example synchronization report for an Amazon account

You can sort the list by the Linked column and find the items that are not syncing through Salestio. Depending on the item, the right course of action might be different:

  • When some SKU is duplicated on the marketplace, it should be removed directly from the marketplace account.
  • Some items might not be connected because the store SKU does not match the marketplace SKU. To fix this, edit the store SKU or apply an SKU mapping before reconnecting the items.
  • For items that are added to a Selling List already, it is important to check the status for possible errors. Check the logs and resolve the issues according to the messages. See the guides for the respective platforms: Amazon, eBay, Etsy.
Reconnect the items

After checking and resolving the issues for affected products, reconnect them with the store items using the “Sync inventories with selling products” button in Salestio > Inventory tab.

Check detailed guides for connecting store items with existing marketplace listings: Amazon, eBay, Etsy.

You can verify the results by downloading a new report and reviewing item status again:

  1. In the Inventory tab, click “Download inventories”.
  2. Select the marketplace account and enable the option to remove the existing item list. This will ensure that the latest changes are reflected in the file.
  3. Wait until the new inventory appears and click “Download report”.
