When syncing Amazon listings with the e-commerce store, some sellers might have some new items to list in the process. Today, we will take a look at a Salestio use case when some of the products already exist on the Seller Central account, while others need to be published.

For example, your winter collection of clothes is up for sale both on Shopify and Amazon, but you have not had the chance to list the summer collection on the marketplace yet. We will see how to list the summer collection in this case and sync the whole stock together.

Add all products to a Selling List

Salestio organizes the items in Selling Lists, so we need to add at least one and fill it with the products that we will use. You might want to add multiple Selling Lists to organize the products into different groups and use separate customized sync rules for each of them.
Detailed steps: Create New Selling List [Amazon]

Important: when enabling Collection mode, avoid using the “Send products automatically” option. To link items in future steps, products have to stay in the default Not Active status. You can enable this option after the products are linked in the subsequent steps.

After creating the Selling List, add all the desired items using the buttons at the top: “Add product by collections” to select in bulk or “Add products” to select individual items. If you selected Collection/Category mode earlier, wait a few minutes while Salestio fetches the items to populate the list.

Use the buttons at the top to add individual items or whole collections in bulk

Link the existing listings

Now it is time to link the items that have been selling on Amazon. Go to Salestio > Inventory tab and click “Download inventories”. In a few minutes, Salestio will report a list of the products found on the connected marketplace account.

Store items need to have the same SKU as Seller Central items to connect. If the SKUs are different, consider setting up an SKU mapping to resolve the conflicts.

When ready, click “Sync inventories with selling products”. Give the app some time to process all items. All matching items in our Selling List will have a Linked status. Now you can go back to the Selling List to verify how the process completed.

We suggest doing an initial synchronization of quantities and prices now: select the Selling List and run the “Update QTY & Price” action to sync up the differences. When store prices or quantities change, Salestio will automatically update the Amazon items.

Run “Update QTY & Price” for the new Selling List to perform the initial sync

If some of the matching items weren’t added to our Selling Lists, Salestio will create an additional list automatically. When this is the case, you will see a Selling List called “Migrated for *account_name*”.

To send new products to Amazon, you will still need to add the Selling Lists. If you use the Collection mode and some of the products are already added to the “Migrated” Selling List, these products will be skipped from adding to new Selling Lists.

Check the link results

Salestio offers a simple way to form a report of all marketplace items and their status. Try the steps below:

  1. Go to the Inventory tab in Salestio and click “Download inventories” to get the updated inventory list.
  2. Enable the checkbox to remove existing items from the list.
  3. After the item list is updated, click “Download report” to get the file

Click “Download report” to get the file with the marketplace inventory

In the downloaded report, you can check if all Amazon items are linked or if some are missing. We suggest reviewing this list to ensure that every marketplace listing is connected.

Send the rest of the items to Amazon

We still have some items that were not connected. If Salestio did not find a match for an item in your Selling List when you connected existing products, it will remain in the “Not Linked” status.

To send the items, select the Selling Lists and run the “Send to Amazon” action. As another option, select individual items and run the same action. Give the app 10-30 minutes to process the changes and check the results.

Run the “Send to Amazon” action to publish the remaining products

After the items are sent, their status will change to Linked. At this point, the item is synced, and Salestio will keep it updated.

Check the Selling Lists for errors in case something went wrong. To learn more about the error, click “Logs” and look for the error messages. Resolve the mentioned errors and try sending the products again.

Logs can be opened from the Selling List view

Configure a Creation Profile

This step is necessary when some of the items are not yet in the Amazon catalog.

If you are sending a new product without a Creation Profile, but the product does not exist on the marketplace, a respective error will appear in the logs for the item:

SKU example-here, Missing Attributes product_type. SKU example-here doesn't match any ASINs. Make sure that all standard product ids (such as UPC, ISBN, EAN, or JAN codes) are correct. To create a new ASIN, include the following attributes: product_type. Feed ID: 0. For more troubleshooting help, see http://sellercentral.amazon.com.au/gp/errorcode/200692370

To resolve this, go to Salestio > Profiles > Creation Profiles and add new profile here. Enable product creation in the Amazon Profile, and try sending the item again. Full guide on product creation features is below:

Keep in mind that you only need to set up mappings for the items that don’t yet exist on the marketplace. If you have all pants already listed, but still need publish shirts, you can skip adding mappings for pants.
