We are happy to announce that today, a new Salestio application for importing products from eBay to Shopify will be available for all users. If you are a Shopify user you can download and install it from Shopify App Store.
Product Import by Salestio makes it easy for Shopify merchants to create products on their store directly from active eBay listings. The app imports product details such as titles, descriptions, images, and variations, making the move from eBay to Shopify quick and smooth.
Product Import offers two primary methods for creating Shopify products:
Let’s explore the steps of how to install and use the app.
Start with locating Product Import in the Shopify App Store. Click the Install button on the App details page. You will be redirected to the Shopify admin.
On the Install app screen, you can find more details on the permissions scope. Product Import requires access to view the store owner and view and edit Products.
Product Import works based on the purchased credit packs. One credit corresponds to one eBay listing that is created as one Shopify product. Product variations are counted as one product credit.
In the free version, there are 5 credits available. It means that you can import 5 eBay listings that will correspond to 5 Shopify products.
Product Import offers credit packs for various business needs. The following packs are available:
Do you want to receive a 100 free product import credit?
Install Salestio Product Import, publish a post about Product Import on social media, and send us a link to your post together with your Shopify URL to support@salest.io. We will add 100 credits for free to your current package.
The number of used and available credits is shown on the Dashboard.
To enable bulk product creation, connect your eBay account to the Product Import app. From the Dashboard, click the “Connect eBay account” button.
Note: If you prefer not to connect your eBay account, you can skip directly to the part on how to create Shopify products from eBay listing URLs.
On the Add Account form, enter your account name, and click the “Add Account” button. You will be redirected to your eBay account page where you need to grant access to Product Import. Once access is granted, the eBay account will be added to Product Import.
Once your eBay account is added to the Product Import app, proceed with downloading your eBay Inventory to the app. To do so, access the eBay Inventory page from the left side menu in the App navigation.
Click the Download Inventories button.
Once eBay Inventory is downloaded, the list will be displayed on this page. The following eBay listing details are shown on this page: eBay IDs, Shopify product IDs (once they are created on Shopify), titles, quantities, prices, and start dates.
From the eBay Inventory page, you can send eBay listings to Shopify in bulk or by selecting individual products.
Use the Search bar to locate specific eBay listings. Here you can add a listing SKU, title, or eBay listing ID.
The eBay inventory list can be filtered out by ID, Product ID, Title, QTY, Price, and Start Time.
To simplify the search, you can sort the listings by their IDs, Product IDs (for already created listings on Shopify), title, quantity, price, and start time.
Select the products you want to import to Shopify (one or many) and click the “Create Products” button.
The following product details are imported to Shopify: title, variation options, and labels, SKUs, description, images, quantity, price.
The Product Vendor field is set to the Shopify store name.
Other details on the Shopify product page (like “Charge tax”, status, sales channels, etc.) are set to the default options on Shopify.
This step does not require adding an eBay account. The products are created on Shopify based on the eBay listing URL. To do so, enter the eBay listing URL to the Import Product by URL block.
